Center for Pregnancy Choices
The CPC is a nonprofit medical clinic that exists to listen, encourage and equip those facing pregnancy decisions. The clinic has been serving the Jackson Metro area for over 25 years and estimates that it has benefited over 20,000 women in the community during this time. Their complimentary services include: pregnancy confirmation, sonograms, options counseling, reproductive health information, pregnancy support, community referrals, post-abortion support, and 24-hour helpline availability. The CPC currently has two facilities, providing services to the Jackson/Madison area as well as Pearl/Rankin County.
Madison County Detention Center
The Madison County Sheriff’s office operates a 250 bed jail that opened on April 1,1991and an additional 144 bed facility that was added in March,2001. There are kitchen ,Laundry and medical facilities located inside the Detention Center. The facility houses both pre-trial and sentenced inmates.The Madison County Detention Center under Sheriff Randy Tucker scores high on State and Federal evaluations.
Rankin County Sheriffs Department
The sheriffs department is the chief law-enforcement agency in Rankin County. The sheriff and his deputies respond to calls for emergency service, enforcing local ordinances, state and federal law, and maintaining a sense of tranquility by visibility in the communities they patrol. Thus they take responsibility for the safety and well-being of all persons living in Rankin County.
MDOC-Flowood Community Work
Center Satellite Prison
MDOC’s restitution program provides an alternative for incarceration for minimal risk offenders who are in need of a more structured environment. Residents are required to work and pay full or partial payments to crime victims.These residents have up to 12 month sentences.
Layfayette County Detention Center
Sheriff Joey East is responsible for law enforcement and administration of the Lafayette County Jail. It is located on Jackson Avenue in Oxford, Ms.

The Friendship Connection
is a 24 bed(12 primary and 12 transitional residential) female facility for women with an alcohol or drug dependence, nonviolent ex-offenders and pregnant individuals interested in beginning the recovery process from substance abuse. the primary treatment component is a 30-day comprehensive program and the residential component is a 75-day program. This facility is certified by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, Addiction Services.
Crossroads Ministry
Now in our 10th year, Crossroads Ministries is a 501 c3 non-profit organization for women coming from prison. They struggle with
addiction and more, needing education, life skills and a safe place as they regain their self-worth. The ministry is Christian based and
teaches the women how to live outside of prison bars, reconnect with their children, families and apply for jobs.
The Wellness Institute
The Net is available here to see clients that find themselves without insurance/poverty level and in need of counseling services.
